Sorry for the two month disappearance.. But I'm back! And in celebration of SUMMER here is a lovely little bunch of pastel prettiness found on Etsy. Don't you just want to lay out on a towel under the warm sun eating strawberry and mint chip ice cream and listening to a new playlist? My most current playlist includes Hole, Fiona Apple, and a third of the Cruel Intentions soundtrack. Its still being added to ;)

Recent Developments
Why yes, those are Girl Scout cookies!
Hi friends! It's that time of year again. The time when flowers are starting to bloom, the sun shines a little brighter, and our winter coats are starting to retire ;) Since I haven't blogged in a little while, I thought I'd give you guys an update on some things that have happened recently.
On Friday I met with Stephanie to try Boba tea for the first time ever. When we got to the T T Lounge, we found a sign on the door that said they weren't opening for another thirty minutes, so we went hunting for Girl Scout cookies while we waited. Thirty minutes and a few Samoas later, we walked under a ladder and into the restaurant to get our boba. I tried the thai tea boba, and oh my goodness it was well worth the wait! The only bad thing about it, I'm sad to say, is that it's made with whole milk. My tummy wasn't very happy with me, but I'd drink it again anyway ;)

Another thing that happened this week: My sister sold her first painting (above) at an art gallery! She had to submit it for her Spiritual Journey of Van Gogh class. She wasn't even expecting to sell it, so you can imagine how surprised and elated she was when she found out what that little red dot meant!
Oh, and one last thing: I just found out that I won a giveaway from one of my favorite blogs, Sequins and Stripes! You can check out the adorable Furbish anchor earrings I won here :)

Countdown
I think that this will always be one of my favorite music videos of all time. It's the perfect mix of dance, winged eyeliner, bright colors, sparkle, and hello, Beyonce. By the way, when did it get to be February? It's already spring in Richmond. I think we got a week of winter, and I am perfectly okay with that. Happy Febs!
Love, Kelly.

Things I love
1. My new VS Pink yoga leggings. I went to the store to pick these up, and not only did I get a free Pink dog beanie, but I also got complemented on my nails (I'm wearing Essie's Play Date.)
2. Dancing my but off. Almost literally. I may teach dance, but I don't get as much exercise out of it as my students do. And because I dropped my Pilates class and don't have the time to make a gym membership worthwhile, my Wii is my best exercise buddy right now. I have almost perfected every song on Just Dance 3 :)
That's all I've got for now. Happy Wednesday!

Change, please
Every now and then I get this little nagging feeling that it's time for a change. Usually I satisfy this desire by changing my hair color (original, I know.) I haven't dyed my hair in over a year, but I really am growing tired of the dull dirty blonde color, although I must admit that it is nice to not have to worry about my roots. But the time has come to decide what's next for my locks, so here are the choices I am considering: dark auburn, light blonde, and golden blonde. Below is a little hairspiration collage of some of my favorite examples of these looks.

Ginger Tea
I've been keeping an eye out for some ginger tea ever since I knew such a thing existed. Unfortunately for me, every time I found a brand that made it, it would cost more than $10, and I cannot justify my spending that much for tea as a poor college student. So, when I was browsing through the grocery store looking for some yummy nutritious food, a cardboard box with Ginger tea printed on it caught my eye. Imagine how excited I was to discover that it only cost $2.99! And let me tell you, it is delicious, and I highly recommend it!

Indifference is Not an Option.
I was in Atlanta, Ga for the Passion 2012 conference for the past four days. It was amazing, and totally overwhelming. 42,000 18-25 year-olds gathered together in the Georgia Dome to worship Jesus and raise their voices against one of the greatest injustices in the world today: slavery and human trafficking. There are 27 million men, women, and children enslaved in the world today. These victims of human trafficking are of all ages and races and, up until only a few years ago, have suffered largely unnoticed. My heart aches when I think of the children whose innocence has been brutally taken away, and the men and women who have had their dignity trampled on and mocked. And now that I know, I'm asking myself, "What will I do about it?"
